Dave started employment as an apprentice at VL Churchill Ltd who manufactured special service tools and garage equipment. Working for an equipment manufacturer shaped the direction his occupation would take within the UKs multifaceted motor industry.
After working in key positions for equipment and vehicle manufactures across Europe, in 2004 he became Chief Executive of the Garage Equipment Association; this involved him in lobbying UK Government and the European commission. He continued as Chief Executive of the GEA until retirement in 2020.
A career which took him from Apprentice to CEO has made Dave passionate about encouraging young people to join the motor industry.
