Criteria and Application Process

Training

If you are an apprentice or employed in the motor industry:

  • Aged 16 - 25

  • Receiving little or no financial support from family

  • You are committed to pursuing a defined goal in relation to education, training or employment in the motor industry

  • One independent supporting reference and details of your current finances are required

Welfare

If you are employed in the motor industry:

  • Any age

  • Your living circumstances are difficult

  • One independent supporting reference and details of your current finances are required

Education

For support at state and independent school:

  • Your child is aged 13 or 14 (Years 9 or 10)

  • Your home circumstances are difficult

  • Two independent supporting references and details of your current finances are required

1. Give the Case Secretary, Jane Pocock, a call on 01883 371280 or email her at secretary@bmtatrust.org.uk and have a chat about your situation.

2. If Jane thinks the Trust may be able to help she will send you an application form to complete.

3. Send the form back and the BMTA Trustees will talk through all the requests they receive and make a decision.
